Description
This year’s theme is "Hitta Hem" (Finding Home) During the festival, we explore what home can mean – a place, a feeling, or a language. Home can be safe and welcoming, but it can also be something uncomfortable or painful. What happens when we lose our homes or our language? Together with authors and cultural creators, we tackle these questions through the power of literature.
Welcome to LittFORS, where you can meet authors, participate in workshops, and experience a week full of inspiring events. Authors featured during the week include Christina Rickardsson, Åke Lundgren, Mats Jonsson, Maria Broberg, Ida Linde, Tina Harnesk, and many more. No matter where you are along the river, from Ammarnäs to Umeå, there is something for all ages and interests.
About LittFORS: LittFORS is more than a festival – it is a collaboration between municipalities, libraries, associations, and businesses that all believe in the power of literature to create community and understanding. Through writing and storytelling, we aim to bring people and towns together, giving space to the stories that belong here, both those already told and those yet to be written.
All LittFORS events are free, thanks to support from the Swedish Postcode Foundation and Region Västerbotten. See the full program and book your place at www.littfors.se.
