The Mårdseleforsen rapids

A must see nature reserve by the river Vindelälven with dramatic rapids, giant cauldrons, old-growth forests and ruins from the old log floating era.

The Mårdsele Rapids, one of the Vindel River's and Västerbotten County's most dramatic rapids, are about 70 km north of Vindeln, on Route 363 just north of Mårdsele. The small islands in the rapids are linked with suspension bridges and have places to grill.
