Concert: Maxida Märak

Welcome to an atmospheric and intimate concert evening with Maxida Märak and Louice Ottosson at Överrödå village hall. As part of the tour, Maxida will release her first fully self-written album, meaning the audience will be among the very first to experience the new material live.

Maxida Märak is one of Sweden’s most unique artists — a voice that brings together tradition and contemporary expression. Raised in the rural landscapes of Sápmi, she carries the Sámi storytelling tradition into everything she creates. During her concerts, she weaves together singing, joik and storytelling, taking the audience on a journey filled with humour, emotion and personal reflections.

Throughout her career, she has released several albums and become known for blending joik with hip hop and urban music. With the album Lånat (2025), she took a new direction, interpreting classic Swedish songs in her own distinctive way. In autumn 2026, she releases her first album of original music in this new style — material that audiences will get to experience during the Rural Culture Tour.

Joining her on tour is musician Louice Ottosson, whose sense for atmosphere and detail adds further depth and dynamics to Maxida’s music. Together, they create an intimate and vibrant sound that makes each concert a genuine meeting between artist and audience.
