Cross-country skiing in Vindeln Municipality

When snow covers the landscape, there are plenty of opportunities for cross-country skiing throughout Vindeln Municipality. Skiers can choose between shorter floodlit loops for exercise, training and evening outings, and longer trails for those wishing to spend more time exploring the peaceful winter landscape.

Kläppaspåret in Vindeln offers several floodlit trails starting near the Fritidscentrum sports and recreation centre. Cross-country ski trails can also be found in villages including Tvärålund, Hällnäs, Tegsnäset, Skivsjö, Lillsele, Strycksele and Åmsele. The trails are maintained by local sports clubs, and availability depends on current snow and weather conditions.

7-MILA:
When snow conditions permit, the classic 7-Mila long-distance ski race takes place between Vindeln and Robertsfors. The main event covers 76 kilometres in classic technique and is one of Sweden’s longest cross-country ski races.
