Dog sledding with Aurora Borealis Adventures
Winter in the North isn’t just a season; it’s a state of mind. Nowhere else will you experience that crisp, biting cold, the dancing Northern Lights, or miles of snow glistening in the winter sun. Here, in one of Europe’s last true wildernesses, silence and great adventures await.
Become Part of the Team
What better way to experience the wild than steering a team of powerful Siberian Huskies? Atop our handcrafted wooden sleds, the only sound is the hiss of the runners against the snow as we glide through deep forests, across vast frozen wetlands, and along snow-covered trails.
With us, you are more than just a passenger—you are part of the team. You’ll get to know our beautiful, hard-working dogs and help prepare both the sled and the team. As one of our very first guests so aptly described the challenge of harnessing an eager dog:
"Harnessing a keen husky is about as easy as trying to put a pair of tights on an octopus!"
From Novice to Musher
"Hike!", "Gee!", "Haw!"—it might sound like Greek to you, but to our lead dogs, these are clear instructions. They are more than happy to show you the ropes and teach you a thing or two about mushing.
Since 1992, we have successfully taught thousands of guests—ranging from 10-year-old adventurers to spirited 85-year-olds—the art of driving a dog sled. This is an active, exciting holiday where the bond with the friendly dogs is at the very heart of the experience.
Now It’s Your Turn!
Are you ready to step into the unknown? Step up onto the runners, feel the power in the lines, and join us for a true adventure through the forest.
Book your journey into the wilderness today – we promise it will be a memory for life!
