Sjungaregården – a cultural centre in Västerbotten

Since 2014, Sjungaregården has been run as a cultural centre, with a strong and well-established gallery operation at its core. We are a professional art gallery for art sales, where both well-known and emerging artists exhibit their work. In addition, we offer a wide range of music and other performing arts. We organise everything from storytelling evenings about local history to classical music concerts, dance performances and more.

The farm is a traditional Västerbotten farm located in Granö, with roots dating back to the 18th century. In the main residential building, the interior has remained unchanged since the early 1900s, and visitors are welcome to step inside and experience what a large rural farmhouse looked like in the late 19th century.

In the large barn there are several galleries with art exhibitions, in the hayloft we have a smaller theatre space, and on the farm grounds a tented lavvu is set up where our larger events are held.

On the farm there is also a bakehouse from the late 18th century, where various artisans and craftspeople exhibit their work during the summer.

The activities are operated by Sjungaregården AB in cooperation with the non-profit association Sjungaregården Culture and Theatre Association.
