Swim at Abbortjärn

Just five kilometres north of the town of Vindeln lies Abborrtjärn, a scenic swimming area with clear water and a sandy bottom. The site features long piers, a diving tower, a playground, a volleyball court, and large grassy areas that gently slope down to the lake.

The lake is a so-called kettle hole, formed during the Ice Age when a large block of ice became buried and later melted. This has made the lake unusually deep, with fresh and crystal-clear water.

Next to the beach, there is a small playground and a volleyball court. The site is maintained by Vindeln Municipality.
